China Mourns Former President Jiang Zemin
Chinese people from all walks of life paid tribute to former Chinese president Jiang Zemin, who passed away last Wednesday. Under his administration, China reported nearly double-digit economic growth for over a decade and joined the World Trade Organization in 2001. Chinese netizens also expressed their deep sorrow on social media in an avalanche of posts.

BEIJING, December 6 (TMTPOST) --  Ordinary people lined the street from the Chinese PLA General Hospital to the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery to pay respects to fromer president Jiang Zemin, who passed away last Wednesday.

Under his administration, China achieved nearly double-digit economic growth for over a dedade and joined the World Trade Orgnaziation in 2001. The engineer-turned statesmen won many hearts across China with his easygoing style and passions for science, music and books.
