BEIJING, December 13 (TMTPOST) —— Alibaba Group's cross-border e-commerce platform Alibaba.com will soon launch at least 100 overseas expositions with a combination of online and offline channels, covering more than ten important foreign trade target markets.

The target markets include the United States, Germany, Britain, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Turkey, India, Brazil, and UAE.

Through cooperation with local exhibitors or independent operation by Alibaba.com itself, the series of expositions adopt a combination of offline and digital channels, allowing foreign trade enterprises to accurately reach overseas professional buyers at low cost, and efficiently expand overseas markets.

The 100 digital overseas expositions include the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES), GIFTEX TOKYO, Turkeybuild Istanbul, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, and other overseas top offline expositions, covering gifts, sports, clothing, consumer electronics, new energy, building materials, auto parts, machinery, and other categories.

Before the rollout of the expositions, the idea of launching expositions with a combination of online and offline channels began to be tested as early as the beginning of this year.  From September to November, Alibaba.com has joined hands with Europe's top consumer electronics exhibition IFA, the world's largest auto parts exhibition AMF, and outdoor and sporting goods fair ISPO with more than half a century of history, to organize expositions in Frankfurt, Berlin, and Munich, Germany. Thousands of small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises participate in overseas top expositions through online and offline channels.

According to Alibaba, the exposition is actually an embodiment of the digital foreign trade capabilities of small and medium-sized foreign trade merchants on Alibaba.com. It connects overseas offline buyers and digital expositions on the Alibaba.com platform.  Buyers who could only effectively communicate with dozens of merchants during the exposition, and have the opportunity to contact thousands of Chinese and foreign trade merchants online and search for high-quality goods.
